A Boatload of Fun!

This week, PreK students explored the letter B with a Bear theme! They started our their week creating their very own codes for Botley! During circle times this week, they learned about the different types of bears from grizzly and black to polar bear! They crafted a bear out of the letter B.
Their sensory room time was full of fun B things! They could paint a butterfly, play with beanie babies, build with tools, play with boats and floating blocks in water, build with bristle blocks, make a beaded bracelet and even create a baseball b craft! Whew!
Tuesday was so exciting because all the prek kiddos got together for a teddy bear picnic pizza party! They had a blast playing games with their bears like relay races and catching "fish" to feed their bears! Math time even got in on the bear fun when they used little bears to measure and graph the lengths of their stuffed animals!
Science time was electrifying! They learned about static electricity and used this knowledge to make tissue paper butterflies "Fly" with balloons!

Their sensory room time was full R/rainforest fun! They could play with the rainforest play set, play in rainbow rice, sort rainbow pom poms, race cars down the racetrack, paint a rainbow, and make a rainbow robot!
No letter R week would be complete without painting our own pet rocks! The children had a blast painting and naming their very own pet rocks.
